Davida Kidd
Davida Kidd received her BFA and MFA from the University of Alberta. She is currently an Associate Professor of Visual Arts at the University of The Fraser Valley, specializing in traditional and contemporary forms of Print Media. Davida has been the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships including the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund Ralph Steinhauer Award of Distinction for Academic Excellence, a Canada Council for the Arts Research Creation Grant, and a Cultural Exchange Program Grant from the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs.
In 2003, she was selected by an international jury to be the Grand Prix Winner at the International Print Triennial in Krakow, Poland, resulting in a solo exhibition at the International Cultural Museum there in 2006. Kidd has exhibited widely internationally and nationally.
